New, Updated Arthritis Articles

December 1, 2010--Lab Tests Online’s Editorial Review Board recently completed a review of six arthritis-related articles currently on the site, and approved several minor changes. Two new articles were also approved and published.
The new articles cover the conditions Ankylosing Spondylitis and Reactive Arthritis; the updates include
- HLA-B27, which is primarily ordered to help strengthen or confirm a suspected diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis (AS), reactive arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA)
- Gout
- Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Osteoarthritis
- Septic arthritis
The editors at Lab Tests Online regularly review each article on the website to ensure that the site keeps up with advances in laboratory medicine and changes in testing policies, guidelines, and practice. New test and condition descriptions are also regularly added to the site, expanding its peer-reviewed, non-commercial, and patient-centered coverage of important topics in laboratory medicine.
