To diagnose an infection with hepatitis A or to evaluate the need for or response to the hepatitis A vaccine

When to get tested?
If you have symptoms of an infection with and/or have been exposed to the hepatitis A virus (HAV); if you have chronic liver disease; or if you have received the HAV vaccine

Sample required?
A blood sample drawn from a vein in your arm
