AACC's Academy, formerly the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry (NACB), is a professional association of doctoral-level scientists who are active in the field of clinical biochemistry. Founded in 1976 as a separately incorporated not-for-profit organization, NACB merged with and became the academy of AACC in 2006. Its mission is to advance clinical practice and research, to promote education and professional development in clinical laboratory medicine, and to serve as the Academy of AACC.
